Airtel has announced a new service ‘Airtel SIM home delivery’, now you can buy new Airtel Prepaid 4G SIM card online at the comfort of your home.
Now there’s no need to visit Airtel store to get new prepaid Airtel SIM card or to port to Airtel.
If you are using other network sims such as Reliance Jio, Vodafone, BSNL, or Idea and looking to port (Mobile number portability) out your current mobile number, this will be a handy service for you to buy Airtel SIM online.

Now onwards you may not need to waste your valuable time in endless traffic, take leave from office or search for parking space outside the Airtel store for a new Airtel prepaid connection.

Step 1: Visit Airtel Official Website https://www.airtel.in/prepaid-4g-sim/ to get new Airtel SIM
Step 2: You need to select the plan from the available plans. At the time of writing this article, there were two plans Rs 248 and Rs 495 along with Airtel new SIM.
Step 3: Now it’s time to schedule the doorstep KYC. You need to fill the form online with few basic details as mentioned below.
Step 4: After entering all the above details, click on submit.
That’s all. you are all set. Now you will receive an SMS on your mobile number as mentioned below.
‘Order placed: Your Airtel SIM will be delivered by EXE NAME (XXXXXXX92)’
The concerned sales executive will contact you to schedule the visit at your convenient time to complete the KYC process.
You need to keep ready with original documents such as Aadhar card, Voter card, Passport, Driving License etc.
As part of KYC, the executive will take a snapshot of the document and your photo by using his mobile. You have no need to give any physical document.
However, you need to pay a service charge of Rs 99 for availing the doorstep delivery service.
Overall it looks good but currently, this service is available in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai & Bangalore only.
