In case if you want to go for Airtel Postpaid, you can call Airtel customer care or apply online. Airtel representative will visit your place and collect necessary documents to complete MNP process.
How to port Aircel to Airtel? (Method 2)
- Go to network settings manually and choose Airtel2G network option
- Airtel now allowing you to send SMS only on 1900 for UPC code
- Send an SMS as PORT [your mobile number] to 1900. Example: If your number is 9xxxx9xxxx9, you have to send SMS as PORT 9xxxx9xxxx9 to 1900.
- You will receive UPC code in next 24 Hours if your Aircel number is latched on Aircel network or Airtel network.
- All Incoming SMS like OTP services will work in this method.
Pro Tip: Switch off your handset, remove the SIM card, reinsert it after 2 minutes and then select the AIRTEL2G network manually

Hi Ranjit, Go to your mobile network settings and change the network to AIRTEL 2G manually. If you are able to connect to Airtel network, please send the regular PORT message on 1900.
For example- if your number is 9xxx9xxxx5, you need to send a message as PORT 9xxx9xxxx5 on 1900. You will receive UPC code in next 24 hours.
Please keep your mobile network latched on Airtel network or Aircel network ( if available) to receive the SMS. You can also use this method to receive incoming SMS such as OTP.
Hopefully, this should work out for you. If not, last option is to visit an Aircel customer service centre to get help on UPC code and MNP process.
